From reading by kerosene lamp in Gaspard, Haiti, to building software with AI.
Johnny Jean-Baptiste was born in 1968 in Gaspard, a village in Haiti’s Northwest without electricity. His book, From Rural Haiti to AI, connects that childhood with a life of education, banking, entrepreneurship, and learning to build with AI assistants.
Banking, teaching, and building
A former banker at JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, he brings more than a decade of experience teaching financial management at Palm Beach State College. He founded Solutions Realty & Financial Services and NovaTek Business Solutions.
He holds three bachelor’s degrees from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and is completing a Doctor of Business Administration in Finance at Liberty University. He lives in South Florida with his wife, Rosemarie.
The story and the practical guide
The book follows three parts: Rasin (Roots), Zouti (Tools), and Bati (Build). It combines his personal journey with ways readers can use Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants in everyday life and small business.
